This month on Spotlight Tampa, a ribbon was cut to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of Villa Rosa Distinctive Linens, an independent business that was part of a revitalization project that was successful in helping to improve its South Tampa neighborhood. Zoo Boo returns, spookier than ever, to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo. Tampa Fire Rescue held an important firefighter training session at Busch Gardens to prepare them for a different type of disaster. A beautiful new sculpture in Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park was dedicated to honor all who were impacted during the 60 years that Fort Brooke was an active fort in Tampa. We meet this year’s National Hispanic Scientist of the Year, Dr. Nils J. Diaz. The Bayshore Patriots were joined by Coalition partners to pay tribute to the men and women who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
