The Division's main objective is to succeed in becoming one of the Top 10 Treasured Cities within the United States, which will enhance the quality of life, economic development and provide a more aesthetically pleasing city government.

Through our new Anti-Litter Campaign Initiative, "Treasure Tampa" A Clean City is Worth Preserving was created for the City of Tampa. Our mascot, Captain Green Eye (Educational Messenger) was also created to educate elementary and middle school students to take personal pride and responsibility to keep their schools and neighborhood litter-free.

Clean City now has an annual "Tampa Clean City Day Initiative", as part of the Great American Clean Up held between (March -- May) each year. This event is designed to support beautification projects, clean up efforts, Adopt-A-Street Program, trash receptacles and recycling awareness city-wide.
