Parking within two blocks of the Tampa Convention Center:

The Convention Center Garage: (450 spaces)

  • Located on Brorein Street and Tampa Street 
  • Maximum vehicle height is 6'6"
  • Daily rate is $5.00 per entry

The South Regional Garage: (1,000 spaces)

  • Located on Channelside Drive and Florida Avenue
  • Maximum vehicle height is 6'7"
  • Daily rate is $1.60/hour or $9.50/day

The Crosstown Meter Lot: (160 spaces)

  • Located on Brorein between Ashley and Florida
  • Parking meters accept quarters
  • Meters are enforced from 8:00a.m. to midnight daily

Two Harbour Place: (1000 spaces)

  • Located on Knights Run Avenue and Harbour Place Drive 
  • Owned and operated by Standard Parking 
  • Daily rate is $5.00 per entry

130 South Florida Lot: (125 spaces)

  • Located on Florida Avenue and St. Pete Times Forum Drive 
  • Owned and operated by Seven One Seven Parking
  • Daily rate is $2.50 per entry

Fort Brooke Parking Garage: (2,600 spaces)

  • Located on Whiting, between Franklin Street & Florida Avenue
  • Daily rate is $1.60/hour or $9.50/day

The Hart Lot: (140 spaces)

  • Located off of Florida Avenue, just north of Brorein
  • Accessible evenings and weekends only

Transportation

Street Car

Many transportation options are readily available once you step on to Tampa soil. Enjoy the ambiance of our historic, electric streetcars that will whisk you back to yesteryear and into our historic district, Ybor City! TECO Line Streetcars feature all the modern-day comforts of air-conditioning and disability-assisting access. The Southern Transportation Plaza is located just outside our front door, where the Streetcar runs every 15-20 minutes. 

Hours of operation:  

Monday - Thursday  11am - 10pm 
Friday  11am - 2am
Saturday     9am - 2am 
Sunday   Noon - 8pm 

Streetcar fares are $2.50 one-way, $5.00 for a 1-day unlimited fare card, and $9.75 for a 3-day unlimited fare card.  Exact change or a fare card is required. There are change machines located at various stops along the route. Visitors may purchase a fare card at the Tampa Bay Convention & Visitors desk located on our rotunda. Refer to the ‘red’ route for this travel route and multiple stops. 

In-Town Trolley

Guests enjoy the comfort of our In-Town Trolley (Purple Line) that stops in close proximity to all downtown hotels and attractions every 10 minutes.  The In-Town Trolley runs Monday through Friday from 6am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm. Exact change of $.25 or a fare card is required (there are change machines located at various stops along the route).  Visitors may purchase a fare card at the Tampa Bay & Company visitor’s desk located on our Rotunda.  Refer to the Purple Line for this travel route and multiple stops. For guests looking to enjoy Tampa’s dining, entertainment and cultural arts district, the In-Town Trolley (Green Line) runs 6pm-2am on Friday and Saturday nights. 

Taxis, Shuttles, Limousines, & Other Transportation Options

The flat rate between Tampa Convention Center and Tampa International Airport (7.9 miles) is $22.00. Taxi Fares within Downtown Tampa which encompasses Downtown, Harbour Island, Davis islands, Ybor City and Hyde Park is $3.00 per person for 2 or more people. Tampa is a call destination, not a flag destination. There are taxi stands located throughout downtown Tampa; with the closest located at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel. The Tampa Convention Center utilizes United Taxi and Yellow Taxi services. Most hotels offer shuttle service to the airport and major attractions.

More than 500 limousines are licensed to operate in the area. Please contact us if you’d like a listing of reputable limousine service providers.

Ride in an open air electric vehicle and save the earth! Complimentary electric vehicles run throughout Downtown Tampa, Ybor City, Hyde Park, Davis Islands and Harbour Island. A tip is always appreciated by the driver. All front house personnel at Tampa Convention Center will be happy to call this service or simply flag one down and they'll take you anywhere within a 35mph zone. 

Amtrak Rail Service arriving and departing from Tampa is located at Tampa Union Station, 601 North Nebraska Avenue.
