Enjoy the ambiance of our historic, electric streetcars that will whisk you back to yesteryear and into our historic district, Ybor City! TECO Line Streetcars feature all the modern-day comforts of air-conditioning and disability-assisting access. The Southern Transportation Plaza is located just outside our front door, where the Streetcar runs every 15-20 minutes:

Streetcar fares are $2.00 one-way, $4.00 for a 1-day unlimited fare card, $9.00 for a 3-day unlimited fare card, and $26.00 for a 20 ride fare card. Exact change or a fare card is required. There are change machines located at various stops along the route. Visitors may purchase a fare card at the Tampa Bay Convention & Visitors desk located on our rotunda. Refer to the ‘red’ route for this travel route and multiple stops.

In-Town Trolley

Guests enjoy the comfort of our In-Town Trolley (Purple Line) that stops in close proximity to all downtown hotels and attractions every 10 minutes.  The In-Town Trolley runs Monday through Friday from 6am – 9am and 3pm – 6pm. Taxis, Shuttles, Limousines, & Other Transportation Options

The average taxi cost from Tampa International Airport to downtown is $20 - $22. There is a $10 minimum fare. Tampa is a call destination, not a flag destination. There are taxi stands located throughout downtown Tampa; with the closest located at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel. The Tampa Convention Center utilizes United Taxi and Yellow Taxi services. Most hotels offer shuttle service to the airport and major attractions.

More than 500 limousines are licensed to operate in the area. Please contact us if you’d like a listing of reputable limousine service providers.

At various times throughout the week, complimentary golf carts can be flagged down or called to pick up a guest or visitor and deliver them to their destination throughout the central business district, Hyde Park, and Ybor City.
