Dave Parkinson

Following a 25 year career in the Department of Public Works with 12 years as its deputy director, Dave Parkinson worked on development and redevelopment projects beginning in 2000. Shortly after inception of the Urban Development Department in 2003, he was appointed as Deputy Director for Redevelopment.  

Dave is responsible for providing and overseeing professional staff and consulting support for all department redevelopment activities including initiatives in the City’s eight (8) Community Redevelopment Areas and related Tax Increment Trust Fund activities.  

He graduated from the University of South Florida in 1974, with a bachelor of arts in geography.
