Training Division Chief

The Tampa Fire Rescue's Training Division is located at the end of South 34th Street. Programs are presented to enhance emergency providers in the protection of life, property, and the environment. These programs vary from routine "In service" refresher classes to emergency medical and hazardous material courses. The Training Academy is a State of Florida Regional Training Center for fire service education.  The Academy has  hosted classes sponsored by the National Fire Academy which gives Tampa Fire Training Division national recognition. In 2004 the Academy delivered over 300,000 man hours of instruction to ensure that the citizens of Tampa continue to receive the quality service they have come to expect. The Training Division is also responsible for Public Education and Public Information.
