The Operations division consists of Suppression, Rescue, Special Operations, and Airport Divisions; 483 of the 520 sworn uniform employees are assigned to these divisions. These aforementioned divisions are supervised by a Division or District Chief under the direction of the Assistant Chief of Operations. Tampa Fire Rescue's Operation Division is under the leadership of Assistant Chief Scott Ehlers, a 22 year veteran with the Tampa Fire Rescue, and was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief in June 2006.
