The City of Tampa Housing and Community Development Division (HCD) is the administrator of the City’s housing programs.  The City offers down payment and closing cost assistance in the form of a Deferred Payment Loan (DPL) to income qualified homebuyers purchasing one of the eligible single-family homes within the City of Tampa. Mortgage Assistance Program Information (Brochure in pdf)

Maximum Mortgage Assistance is $40,000 for Low income households, or 20% of purchase price up to $25,000 for Moderate income households.

Maximum Purchase price is determined by the City.

The City of Tampa's Housing & Community Development (HCD) Staff can now provide Foreclosure Prevention Counseling.  Please call (813) 274-7954 for more  information.  You must live in the City of Tampa to be eligible for assistance through this program.
