We are truly a "grassroots", hard-working Committee, and there continues to be so much that we would like to do, and so many lives that we would like to touch. With the support of our sponsors we can meet this challenge.

In addition to the Scholarship awards, committee members have also mentored many at-risk Hispanic youths from local Elementary, Middle and High Schools. For the past few years, we have coordinated and hosted a Holiday Celebration (with food and toys) for the students at Desoto Elementary School. Without our help, many of these children would not have had any holiday celebration. Additionally, some of our members have mentored at-risk children through the City's partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters at various local schools.
