The City of Tampa Mayor's Hispanic Heritage Committee was formed in 1988 as a City Employee volunteer committee. Each year in the Month of October (Hispanic Heritage Month) the Committee hosts a celebration in honor of Tampa's Hispanic Employees, the Hispanic Community, and their many contributions to Tampa and its citizens.
