On April 20, 2005 DeSoto Elementary held its Annual Appreciation Breakfast for Contributors and Volunteers to their school.  It was with great pride once again, that the Mayor's Hispanic Heritage is recognized for our Annual Holiday Social among other private corporations who give of their time and generous donations to the School. 

The "Thanks a Latte" themed breakfast included an overview of the schools accomplishments by Principal Garcia along with presentations from students of poetry, short stories and the newly formed chorus members sang patriotic songs.  Each of the members attending received a coffee mug filled with a small bag of coffee and the mug was stamped with the School's name and logo showing their Dragon pride.
