Majestic oaks, palms
which make you think of the beach, towering pines. Without trees,
the world would be a very dull place to live. Just think of
our downtown area without Gas Light Park (right) or the trees planted down the
street. How about the riverfront without the huge trees at
University of Tampa. And just think how hot summer would be
if you couldn't lounge in the shade of a tree in the afternoon.
Like many people, you may think that all we do at the
Forestry Division is work on trees, but you'd be very, very wrong.
