The City of Tampa is continuing its efforts to make city government
more accessible to residents. We invite you to join us for the 2006
Neighborhood Fair & Hurricane Expo at Raymond James Stadium.
Come learn about City of Tampa services and how you and your family
can prepare for the upcoming hurricane season with over 50
exhibits on
display! Mayor Pam Iorio, Tampa City Council and city departments will
participate along with many of our community partners. While enjoying
the fair, be sure to visit the football field through the Tampa Bay
Buccaneer’s player’s tunnel for
entertainment; football games with local
police officers and firemen; coloring contest; and the big truck zone
showcasing City of Tampa vehicles including the Tampa Police
Department's helicopter and new amphibian vehicle. Radio Disney’s Fun
Squad will provide kids and parents with interactive games and
activities. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
The first 5,000 attendees will receive a
FREE "Tampa is my Home" tote bag with valuable information
and sponsor coupons. All attendees will have the opportunity to
have their children fingerprinted by the Tampa Police Department.
Parking is FREE in the lot across from “GATE D” on Tampa Bay
Boulevard (Tom McEwen Boulevard) between Himes Avenue and Dale Mabry
Highway. The city will provide free water inside the stadium. Tampa Fire
Rescue's Youth Explorers will sell a $2 combo including a hotdog, chips
and soda outside of “GATE D” to support their youth programs. FOOD AND
BEVERAGES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE STADIUM.
