Vehicle Immobilization

Immobilization and vehicular impoundment process:
The City of Tampa reserves the right to immobilize vehicles for non-payment of parking citations. In the event that your vehicle has been immobilized, a warning noticed will be placed on the windshield stating that the immobilizing device has been attached to the vehicle wheel. The warning notice describes all steps necessary to have the immobilizing device removed and vehicle released.

You may contact the City of Tampa Parking Division administrative offices between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The office phone number is 813-274-8179. The Parking Division administrative offices are located at 107 North Franklin Street (ground level of the Fort Brooke Parking Garage)

When contacting the City, you will need to provide the following information:

• License plate number
  
• Location of vehicle
  

For release of immobilized vehicle after 5:00 PM, please contact the Parking Division at 813-274-8179. Phone calls placed at this time will be forwarded to the Parking Division garage operations staff.
