Adopt-a-Park
Volunteers are needed to help keep our parks
beautiful. The Adopt-a-Park Program is administered by the Tampa Bay
Beautification Program and provides community groups, corporations, schools and
individuals the opportunity to make our parks even more safe and beautiful than

Accessible Facilities

Art in Parks
Public Art is woven into the
fabric of Tampa's streets, parks, community centers, and other public spaces.
Banquet Hall Rentals
Tampa Parks and Recreation Department has two facilities,
Ragan Community Center and
Seminole Garden Center, available for rent for events such as weddings,
meetings, and special activities.
Boat Ramps
Commercial Photography and Video
Tampa Parks and Recreation maintains many facilities
throughout the city that provides a perfect backdrop for professional
photography, film and/or video. Approval, permits and insurance are required. These guidelines are also in place to protect the
environment of the parks and the maintenance efforts performed within, not to
mention to protect and respect the key function of these parks, which is to
provide a safe and peaceful environment for park patrons and natural
inhabitants.
Contracted Instructors
The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is seeking instructors to
offer fun and exciting recreation programs to our community. Our department
offers a wide variety of recreation programs to citizens of all ages.

Dog Parks
You and your dog are welcome in the
parks. There are numerous opportunities to enjoy the
outdoors with your dog. Just remember to be safe, obey
the rules, and respect the park and others.
Employment
Facility Use Permits
A Facility Use Permit is required to reserve a picnic shelter, community
center or any organized activity taking place in a city park with an estimated
number of participants and spectators of 50 or more.
Fees
Friends of Tampa Recreation
The Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc. provide leadership and
support of Tampa's recreation and leisure services. Friends also provides
scholarships for low income families that need assistance with After School and
Summer program fees.
Golf Courses
The city owns three golf courses that are managed and operated
by the
Tampa Sports
Authority.
Greenways and Trails
Tampa has several beautiful trails and blueways for you and your entire
family to explore.
Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation & Conservation
Marinas
The City of Tampa operates two marinas as well as transient
slips at the Tampa Convention Center.
Memorial Tree Service
Trees for Tampa is a unique tree dedication program providing
a thoughtful way for individuals, to commemorate a special person or event or
memorialize a loved one.

Picnic Shelter Rentals
Tampa Parks and Recreation has picnic sites in neighborhoods
around the city that can be reserved for special events.
Rec Card
A Rec Card is required to participate in programs, classes and activities
offered by the Tampa Parks and Recreation Department. The annual fee for a Rec
Card for city residents is $15 per person or $50 per family and includes use of
the open gymnasiums, fitness rooms and computer labs.
Richard & Annette Bloch Cancer Survivors Park
Cancer Survivors Park is located at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr.
Blvd. and Dale Mabry Highway and is a tribute to those living with cancer.
Special Event Permits
A Special Event Permit is required to use a park for a gathering of 200 or
more people in a city park or property.
Tree Removal and Cutting Permit
The City's
Construction Services Department is a one-stop shop for all construction permit and
inspection needs. The division reviews construction plans, issues permits, and
performs the necessary inspections to ensure building projects are built safely
and in compliance with state and local codes and regulations helping to create a
vibrant, livable, and safe-built community.
Urban Forestry and Natural Resources
The Urban Forestry and Natural Resources are
responsible for habitat preservation, restoration programs, care and maintenance
of trees in the City's 178 parks and 1,441 miles of street rights-of-way and the
application of the city's Tree and Landscape code.
Volunteers
Volunteering in Tampa's parks is a great
way f to give back to their communities. You can join
community groups, participate in recreational
programming, or work in the parks planting and
maintaining the city's greenspaces.
