Tampa-Hillsborough Blueways Committee
The Tampa-Hillsborough Blueways Committee is
a joint venture of the Hillsborough Greenways Committee and the City of
Tampa Greenways and Trails Citizens Advisory Committee. It includes
representatives from various water-based organizations and agencies, and
interested citizens who promote paddling trails and responsible canoeing
and kayaking.
The Blueways Committee took on a project to develop a paddling trail
system on the waters of the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County.

- A county-wide map of canoe/kayak launch sites,
- A table of canoe/kayak launch sites, listing amenities and
linking to detailed maps,
- Paddling regulations,
- Trip planning and paddling tips,
- An equipment list,
- Guidelines to observe wildlife,
- Leave-no-trace information and
- More.
The Committee will continue to develop
- A trail guidebook and/or map for mass distribution
to the general public and
- Grant funding to support Hillsborough Blueways.
