Palonias Park A nature trail and boardwalk meanders through Al Palonias Park, through mangrove tunnels to Tampa Bay. Located adjacent to Al Palonias Park, the Friendship Trail Bridge, a 2.6-mile lighted concrete bridge trail, is owned jointly by Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties. The Friendship Trail Bridge is operated and maintained by Pinellas County Parks Department. The bridge spans Tampa Bay, a national estuary. Fishing catwalks are located on each end and are open 24 hours per day. Amenities include ample parking, bicycle racks, an information kiosk, interpretative signage and port-o-lets.
