Rowlett Park offers amenities for every member of the family: street hockey, tennis courts, trails, picnic tables, pier, fitness stations, and more. Nestled along a bend in the Hillsborough River, the Rowlett Park Trail provides two miles of asphalt trail, meandering through oak and pine hammocks. Nature trails cross the park. The canoe launch is available for access to the Hillsborough River State Canoe Trail, which extends north to the Hillsborough River State Park. The park also offers shelter rentals. If you are interested in shelters at Rowlett Park, or other shelters within the City of Tampa, please call the Parks and Recreation Shelter Reservation at 813-274-8184.

Rowlett Park is also home to the first adult wheelchair softball field in the state of Florida. Using an underutlized tennis court, the Parks and Recreation Department painted the appropriate lines for wheelchair softball competitions. The field can used for wheelchair softball and in-line hockey games for all players, but is particularly exciting because it increases the utilization of the facility by making it available to persons of all physical capabilities.
