Across from Lowry Park Zoo along the Hillsborough River is the 0.9-mile asphalt Lowry Park Trail. The trail meanders along the riverfront and through beautiful oak woodland hammocks. Park amenities include picnic tables, shelters, restrooms, fishing docks, a canoe and boat launch, and grills. Lowry Park is currently one of seven parks within the city that offers shelter rentals.
