This neighborhood park, which dates back to Tampa’s earliest days, offers spectacular views of downtown Tampa. It has walkways along the water, picnic shelters, enhanced landscaping and space-themed play equipment in the children’s play area. The park is full of shade trees, and offers quick access to Bayshore Boulevard for jogging, walking or rollerblading. Ballast Point Park is currently one of eight parks within the city that offers shelter rentals. For more information about these, or other shelters, within the City of Tampa, please call the Parks and Recreation Shelter Reservation line at 813-274-8184.
