Tampa Parks and Recreation Department offers the highest quality recreational and competitive gymnastics and dance programs for ages 1-17 years old at two convenient locations, Wayne C. Papy Athletic Center and the New Tampa Community Park Recreation Center. We facilitate a relaxed and fun environment where every child will feel comfortable learning. In addition to our extensive gymnastics and dance programs, we offer adult classes, birthday parties and outstanding summer day camps. Sessions Dates
Please note: At this time all of our classes are full. To be added to our interest list, please use the Customer Service Center. Please note your request will remain on our upcoming interest list for 12 months from this date.Currently Enrolled in Progressive Classes Registration Open Registration Dates How Do I Register? Online: With online registration you can view, search, sign up and pay for recreational programs and activities around the clock. To take advantage of online registration, you must have a current Rec Card, parks and recreation account and an email address. Click here to get started.
In Person: Registration must be done in person at the community center location you wish your child to attend. Be sure to bring two forms of identification if your a resident. Approved documentation includes:
How Much Does a Rec Card Cost? Rec CardA Rec Card is required to participate in all programs and activities offered by the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department. Additionally, the Rec Card entitles the holder to use of open gym, fitness rooms and computer lab at community centers. Materials and supplies, memberships, camps, clinics, lessons, classes, and/or instructor-led programs are not included. A family is defined as a maximum of two adults and dependent children under 18 years old residing in same household. Rec Card - City of Tampa Resident Rates
Rec Card - Non-resident RatesA seasonal Rec Card is available for individuals and families who do not live within the city limits. The seasonal Rec Card allows non-city residents the versatility to purchase a card for one or more of each of the department's three programming seasons. Taxes paid by City of Tampa residents and property owners help pay the cost of maintenance and operations of city facilities. Non-residents fee help share these costs.
