Youth Athletic Leagues


Basketball League

9 to 14 year olds, will learn basic basketball instruction, training drills and provide game time. All participants will have a chance to improve their skills in a fun and safe learning environment.

Registration: October 20 to November 15, 2014
Clinic Dates: November 1, 8 and 15, 2014
League Dates: Saturdays, December 6, 2014 to February 14, 2015
No games will be played on: December 20 and 27, 2014, and January 3, 2015

Soccer League

Participants 9-14 years of age will learn the basic soccer skills and get the opportunity to play in every game in a fun and safe environment. All games are played at Henry & Ola Park. The activity fee includes a soccer uniform with shorts, jersey, and socks. Player must provide their own shin guards and cleats.

Registration: December 1, 2014 to January 24, 2015
League Dates: Saturdays, March 7, to May 16, 2015

After School Intramural Sports

Exposing kids to a variety of sports is one way that we engage participants in physical activity. That is why we have intramural sports available to all registered after school participants. All participants have the opportunity to compete in one of the following sports:

Lacrosse
Age Groups: 11 and Under
Registration Dates: August 18 to August 29, 2014
Street Hockey
Age Groups: 10 and Under; 13 and Under
Registration Dates: October 6 to October 24, 2014
Flag Football
Age Groups: 10 and Under; 12 and Under; 14 and Under
Registration Dates: December 15, 2014 to January 9, 2015
Kickball
Age Groups: 10 and Under; 12 and Under; 14 and Under
Registration Dates: December 15, 2014 to January 9, 2015
Girls Slow Pitch
Age Groups: 17 and Under
Registration Dates: February 23 to March 6, 2015

Summer Sports Clinics

Our Traditional Summer Camps provide a variety of summer sports clinics offered at community centers and parks throughout the city for participants who are registered, at no additional cost.

Volunteer Coaches Needed

Your Parks and Recreation Department depends on volunteers to assist in coaching youth sports programs. Please consider volunteering to coach or assist with your child's team when registering. All volunteer applicants must pass a background check to qualify.
