What you need:
Large, paper, grocery bag
Tape
String
Scissors
Pencil
Hole punch (optional)
What to do:
Cut the bottom out of the bag.
Lay the bag flat on the tabletop.
Pencil a dot about 1/3 down from the top center of the bag.
Draw wings from the corners to that dot.
Cut away the top and bottom triangle areas, cutting along the dotted lines, as shown.
Turn the bag over, and fold the wings to the front. Tape them to the bag.
Put a piece of tape at the tip of each wing to strengthen it; then, punch a hold through it.
Cut out a triangle-shaped vent near the bottom of the bag. A tail made from pieces of tissue tied on a string can be tied below the vent.
Be sure to decorate your kite before flying. Short streamers can be cut from tissue paper and glued or stapled in place.
