Our community centers and playgrounds provide a safe, structure and fun environment for children 5-17 years old as well as for adults, seniors and people with disabilities. We provide opportunities for living, learning and leading full and productive lives. The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of classes, after school activities, and homework assistance.

Tot C.A.M.P. Program

The Children's Adventure and Movement Program (C.A.M.P.) is offered to children 3 years to 5 years of age at Kate Jackson Community Center. This exciting program gives children in this age group an opportunity to participate in recreational activities such as physical fitness, arts & crafts, drama, singing, dance, and games. The program is conducted by trained leaders. For more information, please contact the Kate Jackson Community Center at 274-1704.

After School Activities Program

Your park is the coolest place to be after school. Parks offers structured after school programs for youth ages 5-17 at sites throughout Tampa. The After School Activities Program includes homework help, computer instruction, arts and crafts, and sports and athletics. Program hours are Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

To register your child for the After School Activities Program, parents must go to the facility in person. Space cannot be reserved over the phone.

No School Day Camps

Any day there is no school is a great day at the park! Tampa Parks and Recreation Department’s No School Day Camps provides an alternative for days when school is not in session. Each day will be filled with a variety of activities including arts & crafts, special events and physical & recreational activities.
