Planning and Urban Design Division

To support the City of Tampa's Mission and Vision, the Planning and Urban Design Division strives to foster a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to address the growth and expansion of Tampa's urban form, that will ensure a sustainable balance is achieved with land use, transportation, and natural resources, while inspiring quality urban design.

The Planning and Urban Design Division is comprised of multiple disciplines that are directly related to short, mid- and long-range planning and current development projects throughout the City of Tampa. The Division serves as the lead for eight primary focus areas:
