The Special Support Division serves the community by air, land and sea. It consists of the Support Services Bureau, the Special Operations Bureau and the department's on-call specialty teams. These areas help reduce crime by offering specialized support and resources to uniform patrol officers and the Criminal Investigations Division.

The Special Operations Bureau includes:
Aviation Unit, Special Teams, Traffic Squad, K9 Squad, Mounted Unit, Marine Unit, DUI Squad, Special Incident Management Unit.

The Support Services Bureau includes:
Personnel, Training, Evidence Control, Supply, Records, Extra Duty Office, Fleet Management, Honor Guard, Chaplains, Police Explorers & Police Athletic League.

The Specialty Teams are also part of the Special Support Division.
