Our success as an organization depends on our partnerships with the community. So each year, we honor community members, businesses and other agencies that help Tampa Police officers reduce crime and improve the quality of life for our citizens.

The Tampa Police Department held its 2007 Annual Awards Ceremony on March 26, 2008.  Captain Russell Marcotrigiano started the ceremony welcoming the crowd followed by the Posting of Colors by the TPD Honor Guard.  Pastor Kerry Nance presented  the invocation and Mayor Pam Iorio provided opening remarks. 

The Purple Shield was presented for the first time to 13 officers.
