Target /Walter’s Crossing and Target/Gandy Boulevard are very involved with Tampa Police Department’s District One crime prevention efforts, shoplifting and holiday prevention initiatives.  Target has “Target Investigators” who focus on organized retail crime.  Recently they arrested a group in the Tampa area and recovered over $15,000. 

Target is a strong supporter of law enforcement; “Target & Blue” is a program designed to support law enforcement nationwide.  Tampa Police Department District One received a grant that was utilized to purchase twelve SAC vests.  

Target is the national co-sponsor of National Night Out.  Tampa Target locations select neighborhoods they would like to partner with every year and bring door prizes, food and Target volunteers and become part of our community not just a retail store in our community.

Target stores from Pinellas County have also attended Tampa National Night Out locations for several years.  Target also supports neighborhoods that request assistance for community programs by donating gift cards and supplies. 

Target activates a special team during a hurricane 24-hours a day for law enforcement ensuring they have everything they need during a time of crisis.
