Major Jill Kwiatkowski will now lead District I in South and West Tampa where she began her 29-year career. As a Lieutenant and Captain, Kwiatkowski was very instrumental in the impressive crime reduction achieved every year in that district. 

But, she is most proud of her impact on the Department's Field Training Officer Program.  She has been an integral part of developing and implementing Tampa's training curriculum and overseeing the future officers of the Tampa Police Department. She has worked in every rank in the Field Training Program from Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain.   

Major Kwiatkowski also developed the SoHo Policing Program where officers are designated along Howard Avenue to serve as liaisons to the businesses and residents in the area.   

The 29-year veteran has worked in patrol in all three districts. She has also served as a Street Anti-Crime Officer, DUI Officer and an Internal Affairs Detective. Major Kwiatkowski has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Western Connecticut State University.
