It's a great time in the City of Tampa! Crime is down more than 50% since Mayor Pam Iorio began to lead our City in 2003. The department reinvented its approach to fighting crime and has prevented thousands of citizens from becoming crime victims. The department recently named its policing philosophy. It's called Focus on Four because it utilizes four guiding principals to focus on four high volume, pattern crimes. The exceptional partnerships between citizens and Tampa Police Officers are another cornerstone of our success. We are committed to strengthening those relationships that give you a voice in the fight against crime.
