Wireless Amber Alerts

Anyone with a cell phone can now receive Amber Alerts and possibly help save the life of a missing child.  Syniverse Technologies has launched the new program guaranteeing all cell phone subscribers receive free Amber Alerts through text messaging.

The Tampa Police Department is endorsing the program and leading the effort to sign up Tampa residents to the new, free service. The Tampa Police Department believes the service will serves as a valuable resource in the search for missing children.
