Join the Tampa Police Department's Citizens Police Academy

Have you ever thought that you would like to learn about law enforcement, or were just curious about how certain aspects of law enforcement are handled and why?

If you answered yes, then you can get a live, up close and accurate view of police work by attending the Tampa Police Department's Citizens Police Academy.

Ride with officers on patrol, put yourself to the test with tactical exercises, meet the K-9 Team, see CSI Tampa in action and learn what it takes to be a cop! The Tampa Police Department is inviting you to join its hands-on Citizens Police Academy that truly takes you behind the scenes and gives you a taste of the rigorous training that prepares Tampa Police officers for their daily duties of protecting and serving the citizens of our city.  Every Tuesday night for nine weeks you'll learn a different aspect of law enforcement. It's free and runs September 6, 2011 through November 1, 2011.
