Public Works

The City of Tampa Public Works Department is composed of the following divisions:

The Department of Public Works provides safe mobility by maintaining Right of Way assets such as Roads, Traffic Signals, Traffic Signs, Pavement Markings, Special Events, Permit Inspections, Stormwater drainage and movable Bridges.

Additional, the Department operates and maintains over 6.5 million square feet of city owned facilities and its Facility Management section and over 3,000+ vehicles in the city's fleet section.

The Parking Section develops parking policy and specific facility expansion plans to serve the parking demand in the central business district and adjacent commercial areas.

July 24, 2014 -  Mayor Bob Buckhorn presented his recommended Fiscal Year 2015 budget to Tampa City Council this morning. The City of Tampa continues to deliver a balanced budget without personnel layoffs or increased millage rates.  more...
