The Best Thing To Do

Recycling is the best thing to do!

Keep our oceans clean,

Keep our grass green,

Keep our air clear.

Recycling is the best thing to do!

Plastics, paper, tins

Don’t wait until later,

Throw it in the bin!

Recycling is the best thing to do!

Protect our land.

So lend a hand and recycle!

Because it is the best thing for you!

So next time you find a glass bottle,

Don’t put our environment last,

And recycle it with a blast!

2nd PLACE

Poet:Mackie Burke (Grade 3)

School: Sessums Elementary

Teacher: Sandra Howsare

Principal: Winnie McCandless

A Recycling Poem

If you would recycle like me,

You could save a bird or a tree.

You wouldn’t see litter on the land,

Or glass and soda cans in the sand.

Return plastic bags and paper bags too,

They’ll be recycled and turned into new.

If you don’t recycle you should start,
Each of us can have a part.

We all have a smile on our face,

We’re making the world a better place!!

3rd PLACE

Keep the Earth Green

Keep the Earth Green,

Keep the sky blue.

It’s pretty to be seen,

It starts with you.

Recycle your metal,

Recycle your plastic.

I wrote this riddle,

To keep the Earth fantastic.

So don’t throw it away,

Start recycling today!

Do it for Tampa Bay!
