Elevation CertificateMost parcels within the City located within special Flood Hazard Areas have an established base level flood elevation which is documented on the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM). The Elevation Certificate is required to be completed for all buildings which are located in Special Flood Hazard Areas. The Elevation Certificate is an important administrative tool of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and is used to provide elevation information necessary to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances, to determine the proper flood insurance premium rate, and to support a request for a Letter of Map Amendment or Revision (LOMA or LOMR-F) Since June 1996, the City has scanned all Elevation Certificates and made these available in an online record system. After reviewing the tutorial below you can navigate and access the online record system. Copies are also available at the Construction Services Center (click here for map). Tutorial: Online Record SystemSTEP 1After opening the online record system, select the "Search" tab at the upper left-hand side of the screen;
STEP 2Scroll through the "Search In" drop-down menu and select "City of Tampa Elevation Certificate Files". Then click on "Use These Databases".
STEP 3When the screen resets, enter the address into the text box and select "Search". You can leave the "Full Text" and "File Name" windows blank.
