Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans from survey data collectors, for the construction of:
    • Sanitary Sewer gravity sewers
    • Sanitary Sewer force mains
    • Sanitary Sewer pump stations
    • Projects related to Wastewater Treatment Plant
    • Projects related to FDOT, Hillsborough County and Public Works Projects, where sanitary facilities must be relocated.
  • As-Building all of the above listed projects, using inspector's file notes.
  • Filing and maintaining the record copies of the above listed projects, including hard copy, Autocad and microfiche.
  • Utility Review.
    • Reviewing and writing comments regarding all other agencies who use rights-of-way common to the Wastewater Department. This involves researching our files for As-built information, sometimes on-site research, determining conflicts, and resolving them. The number of these can vary from 600 to 1,200 a year, depending on the economy, etc.
  • Permitting all of the Department's projects including;
    • Railroad
    • FDOT
    • County
    • Environmental Agencies
  • Assisting the Engineering Staff in any necessary regarding their projects. This sometimes involves field work.
  • Handling miscellaneous drafting assignments such as graphics, charts, visual aids for presentations, etc.
