Are You Ready Tampa Bay?

"Are You Ready Tampa Bay?" is an initiative designed to provide Tampa's citizens with common sense tools that will assist them before, during and following emergencies of almost any type. It allows them to be better prepared to safeguard the health and well being of themselves, their family, their neighbors, and their community.

The Office of Emergency Management is committed to educating Tampa's citizens about the hazards they face, as well as ways they can better prepare themselves. Understanding your responsibilities before, during and after an emergency is the best way to ensure that you and your family are ready for any situation. With this in mind, the OEM has created "Get Ready Tampa" - the centerpiece of a broad preparedness campaign - to provide valuable information to those who live, work and play in our city.

This initiative includes the annual Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo, which holds activities for adults and children, educational displays, tips from experts, safety demonstrations, emergency vehicle displays, and vendors of safety products, personal disaster preparedness and home retrofit products

If you would like more information on how to become "ready" for a disaster or would like our office to come speak at a community event, please send a message to the Emergency Coordinator.
