The CRA encompasses an estimated 77 acres of which approximately 68.09 acres are upland of the Hillsborough River. The remaining 8.91 acres begins from the center of the Hillsborough River to the edge of the CRA property line. There are 66 structures in that area of which 18 percent, or 12 structures are vacant.

Based on a review of property appraiser’s records, most of the structures were built prior to 1960. Approximately 43 percent of the area is owned by the City of Tampa or non-profit organization and 57 percent of the area is vacant (includes parcels and structures).
