"Come and See the Debut of a Waterfront Community Redevelopment Plan"

Debut Summary: The City of Tampa and the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) of the City of Tampa invite interested parties to attend a review of its Community Redevelopment Plan for the Old Tampa Police Department Site in the Tampa Heights neighborhood. The plan encompasses a 70-acre Hillsborough River waterfront site, immediately adjacent to the Tampa Central Business District. The plan has been adopted pursuant to the "Community Redevelopment" Act, Part III, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes (1998 Supplement).

Date/Time/Place: July 21, 1999, from 9:00 a.m. until Noon, at the Tampa Convention Center. Please RSVP your attendance at this function by contacting Ms. Sherry Crawford by July 14, 1999 at (813) 274-8543.

Purpose: The presentation by the City and the CRA will serve as an opportunity for interested parties to hear about development in Tampa, and learn First hand of the new development opportunities presented in the Old Tampa Police Department Site Redevelopment Plan.

Redevelopment Land Classification Site Summary: The Tampa City Council and the CRA adopted this Community Redevelopment Plan for the Old Tampa Police Department Site on May 13, 1999. The Development includes mixed land uses (high/medium densities and open space).
