TampaGov Text Only Issues

A text-only version of TampaGov is provided for citizens with extremely slow Internet connections. The version uses Luci, which is the University of New Brunswick's enterprise Web site accessibility solution. Luci was developed from Betsie (BBC Education Text to Speech Internet Enhancer) and re-written mainly to accommodate SSL.

The known issues with the text only version include:

• Cannot change the font type via the change display settings option
• Cannot use forward browse buttons to view additional items in a list such as news and events (use list filters instead)
• Cannot use the select all or deselect all buttons in checkbox lists (select each item individually instead)
• Cannot add an attachment to a Customer Service Center message (switch to graphics view to add an attachment)
• Map facility features such as zoom and scroll are not relevant as a base image/map is not rendered (switch to graphics view to render the map)
