Tampa Parks and Recreation Department operates 11 pools and 12 splash pads located throughout the city. Six pools are open year around and five are seasonal pools open in the summer months. A variety of aquatic programs are offered for all ages and abilities including swim lessons, fitness classes, lifeguarding, and competitive team opportunities, along with lap swim and open swim hours. Splash pads are available year around.

Holiday Hours and Closures

There are no scheduled closures at this time.
Closures are subject to change based on special events and maintenance.


All participants must possess a current Rec Card to use any facility or participate in any program including, but not limited to, lap swim, open swim, classes, and team training sessions. Registration requires the completion of a hold harmless agreement for each member with a Rec Card.

    • Lap Swim participants must also purchase a seasonal or annual Aquatic Pass or pay a daily drop-in fee.
    • Open recreational swim sessions are free to Rec Card holders. Non Rec Card holders pay the daily drop-in fee.

Annual Rec Card for Non-City of Tampa Residents: $30/individual or $100/family

Family Rec Cards includes up to 2 adults and all children under the age of 18 residing at the same address.

Senior (50 and up) Non-Residents and Disabled Non-Residents may purchase Rec Cards at the resident rate.

Aquatic Swim Pass: $75/year or $25/season (we have 3 seasons a year) Swim Pass Online

Daily Drop-In Fee for Open Swim (for Non Rec Card holders): $2/Youth & Seniors  $4/Adults

Pool Rentals

All pools are available for rentals during non-operation hours only for a minimum of 2 hours. Lifeguards are required and shall be provided by the City of Tampa at $25/hour per lifeguard. The number of lifeguards required is based on the facility and the number of participants present.

25 yard Pool: $50/hour

50 meter Pool: $100/hour

Family/Leisure Pool: $75/hour

Children's Activity Pool: $25/hour

Dive Well: $50/hour

Lap Lane Rentals

Lap lanes are available for group practice during normal operating hours only and based on availability. Exclusivity for all lanes is not permitted and circle swim is necessary for large groups. All participants must possess a current Rec Card. 

25 yard Pool: $3/lane per hour

50 meter Pool: $6/lane per hour
