Public Participation

Public participation is the process that includes the residents of a community, such as Tampa, in making decisions about a project that affects their neighborhoods and quality of life. The City of Tampa recognized the need for this process to create a successful Master Plan document. Through public workshops and the creation of a Citizens Advisory Committee, a Master Plan was created and adopted by Tampa's City Council on February 1, 2001. This document will guide the development of greenways and trails in the City of Tampa with public input every step of the way.
