Arts & Culture Programs

Tampa Parks and Recreation is proud to offer visual and performing arts experiences for children and adults that connect the citizens of Tampa to their creativity. These classes, workshops, camps and performances are for anyone looking to explore and develop their creative voice in a nuturing and supportive environment. Our programs bring quality instruction and reasonable pricing together to encourage everyone to make art a part of their weekly schedule.

Our youth art and theatre experiences, including workshops, classes and camps, help to foster and encourage creative expression. Based on the concept that art helps to build a balanced perception and an imaginative mind these programs aim to help youth explore and express their creative ideas and to diversify their perspectives. In addition, Creative Arts Theatre brings the magic of live performance to thousands of young people in our community each year.

Current classes include pottery (wheel and hand building), stained glass, glass fusion, jewelry and metalsmithing, photography, drawing, painting, watercolor, mixed media, digital art, sewing, molded ceramics and printmaking. Additional performing arts classes coming soon. A Rec Card is required to participate.
