MOSI's Community Education Coordinator Vivian McIlrath led the way on the Sky Trail Zip Line on a recent episode of The Mayor's Hour. Vivian stopped to pose with two of the shoot's camera operators (Karey Poulos - left, Frank Crum - right) after helping them with their safety harnesses.
CTTV's Frank Crum carries his camera gear 65 feet above the MOSI campus in anticipation of capturing Mayor Buckhorn's 350 flight for The Mayor's Hour.
Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn didn't need too much help from MOSI's Vivian McIlrath in getting the zip line harness over the mayoral necktie. Within minutes they were all strapped up and ready to go.
Fear was not a factor for Mayor Buckhorn as he logged 700 total feet in his round-trip zip line flight at MOSI. The zip line has been a popular addition to MOSI's Sky Trail Ropes Course.
After traveling 65 feet above the ground on the zip line, what's another238,900 miles to the surface of the moon? Mayor Buckhorn tried on a Lunar Surface Activity Suit atMission: Moon Base, a lunar colony experience of the future at MOSI that is partially sponsored by NASA.
