Architectural Review & Historic Preservation

  • The Architectural Review & Historic Preservation Division is open for business via phone, email and online, however, as a precautionary measure to COVID-19 transmission, effective Tuesday, March 17th we will not be accepting walk in customers at the 4900 West Lemon Street office until further notice.

Please note that the Barrio Latino Commission (BLC) public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020, commencing at 9:00 a.m. is canceled.   The next public hearing for the Barrio Latino Commission will be Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.  In addition, the Architectural Review Commission (ARC) public hearings scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2020 and Wednesday, April 8, 2020, commencing at 6:00 p.m., are also canceled.    The next public hearings for the Architectural Review Commission (ARC) will be Monday, May 4, 2020 and Wednesday, May 6, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

City Attorney

  • The Office of the City Attorney continues to be fully staffed to meet the daily needs of the City as well as emergent issues as they arise. As a precautionary measure to COVID-19 transmission, beginning Monday March 23rd, we will not meet in person with members of the public, however, we are available to handle any matter by phone or email.

  • Tampa Convention Center and The Sail are currently closed to the public.
  • Our staff will continue normal business operations working remotely through April 4th.

Fire Rescue

All public events canceled and future public education events are being deferred. All fire stations and dispatch centers have restricted visitors, including family members. The TFR Training division has suspended all in-service training, courses, and fire academy classes until further notice.

  • Existing Inspections - non-critical inspections are being deferred.
  • New Construction - Plan review and field inspectors working normally. Meetings held via teleconference. 
  • Public Education - Site visits and station tours canceled until further notice.
  • Fire watch / Special Events  - Events are being rescheduled or canceled for the next several weeks.

Parking Division

The Parking Division Administrative Office is open M – F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Walk-in customers are being accepted.  In addition, all parking payments may be made online, via onsite dropbox or by US mail. Purchasing

The Purchasing Department located at 306 East Jackson Street, Tampa Municipal Office Building is open for business via phone, email and online, however, as a precautionary measure to COVID-19 transmission, effective Friday, March 27th we will not be accepting walk-in customers.

For submittals to solicitations the following methods must be utilized:

  • Request for Electronic Quotations (REQ) – Must be submitted as an attachment via email to: bidcontrol@tampagov.net as detailed in the solicitation document.
  • Invitation to Bids (ITB) - May be submitted electronically an attachment to an email addressed to bidcontrol@tampagov.net as detailed in the solicitation document. Hardcopy submittals must be done via US Mail, Fed-Ex, UPS or other shipping methods.
  • Request for Proposals - May be submitted electronically an attachment to an email addressed to bidcontrol@tampagov.net as detailed in the solicitation document. Hardcopy submittals must be done via US Mail, Fed-Ex, UPS or other shipping methods.

Verification of the City’s receipt of solicitation submitted by email is the responsibility of the Bidder/Proposer. To verify receipt of bids sent electronically, Bidders may contact the Purchasing Department at 813-274-8351. Failure of the City to receive such a bid by the date and time specified on the solicitation document will result in non-consideration.
The Purchasing Department is currently evaluating alternatives for conducting all meetings (including Pre-bid conferences and Pre-Proposal conferences) remotely. Once a determination is made on the method to conduct these meetings online instructions will be provided to all Bidders and Proposers via addendum for current solicitations, included as instructions for new solicitations and will be updated on this website.
