Calendar Police General
Laundry Project

WHY: With the average cost of eight loads of laundry nearing $35, many families are forced to choose between paying bills and washing their clothes. This service is especially needed as many are preparing for holiday purchases, including Thanksgiving. Also, this vital experience helps officers gain a better understanding of the needs that exist in the neighborhoods they patrol.

WHERE: Big Wash West Tampa – 1724 W Main St., Tampa, FL 33607

WHEN: Tuesday, November 26 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

WHO: Current Initiatives is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in Florida that started with young adults committed to educating others on current social initiatives and mobilizing them to bring about change. Current establishes community groups for awareness and education and organizes local initiatives such as the Laundry Project, Hope For Homes Project and Affordable Christmas.
