Housing grant programs provide assistance to eligible non-Federal entities (e.g. not-for-profits) for the development (e.g. acquisition, purchase, rehabilitation) of housing units that will service eligible low and moderate-income residents within City of Tampa boundaries.

- Economic Opportunity Department
The purpose of the Economic Opportunity Department is responsible for coordinating and directing citywide redevelopment initiatives, community planning and marketing redevelopment opportunities to the private sector using professional staff and consulting resources. - CRA Façade Improvement Program
The CRA Façade Improvement Program provides property owners with financial assistance (grant) to improve the appearance of their properties in designated areas of Tampa's Community Redevelopment Area (CRAs). The program is funded for fiscal year 2013 for Drew Park, East Tampa, and Ybor City.
- Channel District Neighborhood Amenity Incentive Program
Designed to attract service providers to the Channel District, this program provides a reimbursement of up to $10,000 for fees paid to the City of Tampa related to construction of certain qualifying amenities.

- Historic Trust Fund Grants
The Interstate Historic Preservation Trust Fund Grant Program was established from the proceeds generated from the sale of historic buildings impacted by Interstate-4 and Interstate-275 expansions. The purpose of the Trust Fund Grant Program is to enable the owners of historic properties to preserve the character and structure of those historic properties by providing exterior preservation funds for eligible owners and projects.
