Lender Resources

The City of Tampa's Housing and Community Development office works with home buyers and lenders to provide loans and services to eligible home buyers in the City of Tampa.  The information below is designed to assist participating lenders understand the City's policies and procedures when making loans to home buyers.

The City’s fiscal year runs October 1st – September 30th. As a result, on each October 1st, our new fiscal year begins. Likewise, lender approval is valid from October 1st – September 30th. All lenders who want to be on the City’s Approved Lender List MUST ATTEND a City facilitated lender workshop. Please see the Housing and Community Development Events Calendar for information on upcoming events and workshops. In addition to attending the workshop, lenders must provide the completed Lender Approval Application and the supporting documents (sample Loan Estimate or Closing Cost Worksheet AND informational flyer(s) re: the mortgage products offered). If informational flyers are not available, the lenders should list the offered mortgage products on their company’s letterhead, reflecting their contact information.
