The City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Committee (MHHC) will hold its 27th Annual Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at 11 a.m., at the Tampa Theatre, located at 711 N. Franklin Street, in Tampa.
Santiago Corrada, Visit Tampa Bay’s President & CEO, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s celebration. The former City of Tampa Chief of Staff returns to provide first-hand insight on the legacy of the Latin culture and the economic impact of the Hispanic heritage in our community. Mayor Buckhorn will present a proclamation in recognition of the City of Tampa’s Hispanic roots and the diverse population who share this heritage, as well as, in appreciation for Hispanic employees. Members of City Council will also present a commendation. Once again, Tedd Webb from 970 WFLA Radio will serve as the emcee. Attendees, which include City of Tampa officials and employees, dignitaries, public school students and members of the community, will enjoy the sounds of Orquesta Sol Caribe and all the moves of Extreme Dance Company.
