9th Annual Badge Bowl Flag Football Game to Benefit 1Voice Foundation May 5th

The men and women of the Tampa Police Department and Tampa Fire Rescue put their lives on the line every day, but behind the badges are some big hearts. Join Dave Wilson and Earnest Graham as they coach the annual flag football game.

WHO: Tampa Police “Gladiators” and Tampa Fire and Rescue “Firestorm”

WHAT: 9th Annual Badge Bowl flag football game to benefit the 1Voice Foundation, a non-profit organization, supporting children in the Bay area with cancer.

WHEN: Saturday, May 5th, 10 – 2:45 p.m.
10 – noon – Pre-game activities, on the Tampa Bay Times Forum. Games, police and fire emergency vehicles, music, food and raffles.
12:30 p.m. – see you you’re helping when local childhood cancer patients and their siblings participate in the traditional pre-game parade and receive their medals from the firefighters and police officers
1 p.m. – Welcome and opening ceremony
1:20 p.m. – Let the game begin!

WHERE: Tampa Bay Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa

COST: $10 adults, $5 kids. All proceeds benefit the 1Voice Foundation.

DETAILS: Can the Tampa Police Department’s “Gladiators” handcuff the offense and take back the coveted title of Badge Bowl champions? The Tampa Fire Rescue “Firestorm” are looking to win that title for the 2nd year in a row, all for a good cause. Pediatric cancer is the number one killing disease of our children. The mission of this event is to raise awareness on the issues related to pediatric cancer and to raise money for this cause. The event in 2009 raised over $35,000 and over $200,000 to date.
